Why should we use multimedia broadcasting in the first place?
It will form a stronger bond between the city and it's population.
Why should we use a consultant instead of a manufacturing company?
The manufacturer is only interested in selling it's own products. Due to the overwhelming changes in technology it has become increasingly more difficult to rely on the recommendations of the manufacturers and distributors when purchasing and integrating video and audio systems. A consulting company will be your advocate to look out for your best interests.
What role does the cable company play in installation, maintenance, and service?
Through your franchise agreement, the cable company should provide you with seed money to establish a basic video production system. They should also be responsible for cabling and RF modulation equipment to connect your video sources to their cable headend.
Who decides on the implementation and installation procedures?
The simple answer is you decide. Our company provides the guidance necessary to evaluate your finances, and further, makes recommendations on procedures, areas of improvement, and equipment that will be needed in order to achieve expected results.
How do we retain your services throughout the entire installation process?
After the initial consultation and report, we would certainly welcome the opportunity to represent your interests during your installation process. Because we are not selling any equipment, you may add to the workload at any time during the process. Working with you through the installation process would have many benefits, each situation would carry it's own set of circumstances and those circumstances will dictate the direction of the project.
Which manufacturer should we use to install our equipment?
The manufacturer typically does not install the equipment you purchase. We would help in the selection of the company used to install the equipment.
Who is responsible for maintaining the system after installation?
The responsibility of maintaining the system would fall upon either an in-house staff member or a televisions systems engineering company. Once again, we would be available to assist in finding the company to continue the maintenance.
Who manages broadcasting after the installation is completed?
The responsibility of broadcasting could fall upon several different people. This will vary in each situation. There may be a full time staff member or local volunteers can manage it. We have a service to assist in maintaining the bulletin boards. In any case, our assistance would be available. We can help with graphics content and frequency of broadcasts.
Are there training programs for the equipment we will be using to broadcast?
Many of the manufacturers offer training programs on the equipment they sell. This should be specified during the bidding process. Our company can also provide training for equipment that training may not be readily available for.
What should we broadcast after installation is completed?
In the beginning, you can start by broadcasting your council meetings and board meetings. Then, depending on staff availability, you may want to broadcast Public Service Announcements and quality informative programs that may or may not have been produced in-house.
What role does the Internet play in broadcasting?
The Internet serves as a way to stream video to households or employees with computer access. However, currently there are several limitations such as bandwidth, quality, and server capacity.
What is the breakdown of costs for your services?
The costs of our services vary according to the size and depth of the project.
